So have you seen the new hit show on CW? Mallville is the story of a group of friends who try to achieve the best possible deals of all time. Set in idyillic West Edmonton, AB, the friends have hillarious adventures and along the way teach valuable lessons about how to save money and spend responsibly.
In last night’s episode, Joey saved $15 on a pair of sneakers, and Amanda got a whopping 35% a wool scarf! I can’t wait for next week when Joe saves money on his insurance by switching to Geico and Emily finds a unique way to get that blouse she’s always dreamed of — at a n affordable price!

Yeah, it’s overhyped today, the media talks about it way too much, blah blah blah. But right now I don’t care. Maybe I’m getting sentimental in my old age, who knows.
This is a picture of Manhattan that I took in Feb 1998 from the observation deck at the World Trade Center when I was visiting NYC with my good friend (and sometimes commenter) Joey JoJo Shabadu Jr. I still can’t really believe it’s not there anymore, even though I’ve been to the site since then. Pictures of the NYC skyline just seem like they are missing something, even five years later.

As mentioned in a previous entry, my laptop’s hinge has seen better days and no longer holds itself upright which can be pretty darn annoying. But I am pleased to say that the velcro solution that was suggested by the internets was in fact a very good idea.
