Yesterday is considered to be the worst travel day of the year. So of course I chose yesterday to travel to visit my folks for the long weekend on now. I was fully expecting the usual trip of 2.5 hours to take 4 or 5. Except for some reason, even though we left just after rush hour there was almost no traffic at all!
The freeway was pretty much clear except for Everett which always sucks so no shock there. We even got stuck behind what looked like a serious car accident except it hardly slowed us down at all. And the border was pretty much empty!
I know how lame this is.

I am glad to hear that you did not suffer any traffic woes. If you are in town (or the town-ish area) visiting your parents, we should get together sometime for drinks or general hangings-out. Are you up here with your lovely wife for the entire extended weekend?

skippy: We are in the town-ish area, but we figured this visit we should hang out with the folks since usually when I come to BC I ignore them. Next time though I’ll head straight for Vancouver and let you know ahead of time!
