When discussing the wiretrapping case at work, I pointed out that the US constitutional amendments don’t really apply to me anyhow as I’m a resident alien. This guy who works in my building suggested that however, I have the constitutional right to shut up.
Hm. This seemed funnier at the time.

Hmmm, there appears to be an issue somewhere on teh intarwebs. I can access your site, but not my website, or your lovely wife’s website, or the POP mail server, or the webmail either.
Tres bizarre…

skippy:
There seems to be an outage of some sort at the server where some (most) of my websites are hosted, the ones you speak of are in that bunch.
I’ll keep on top of it, hopefully they will get their act in the right gear very shortly. Oh, and I’ll move your sites over the new server too once I can get an ISP that stays connected to the internets for more than a few minutes in a row.

Yay, it’s working again! I didn’t realize that you still had a bunch of sites hosted on the ‘old’ server. No particular hurry, at all. I know how annoying it can be to have teh intarwebs cut off abruptly, so don’t worry about transferring them in a hurry. I command you to enjoy a game of Civ4!

To be fair, though, many of them *do* apply. First amendment is a limit on what Congress may do; it doesn’t matter if you’re a citizen or not. Etc.
